Making Statements...

This morning's routine jam session featured Lady Gaga's "Pokerface", Annie's "When the Night", Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Heads Will Roll" and Pheonix's "Lisztomania". I always get myself ready for the day with a few good songs, and I end up replaying them in my head for the rest of the day. So while I stood in front of my closet this morning, I listened to Gaga proclaim, "I won't tell you that I love you, kiss or hug you...Cause I'm bluffin' with my muffin, I'm not lying, I'm just stunnin with my love-glue gunning!" All I could think was, "makingggg statements"!! One of my personal one liners (as my friends like to call them), "making statements" is something I always proclaim. Fashion is all about "making statements", whether it be your outfit, accessories or own personal flair. My absolute favorite statement making designers is Ashish. This past summer I interned for W29 Showroom, where he is represented and I must say, I fell harder in love with his clothes each passing day.

These last few weeks have been an absolute blur...so busy that I still haven't finished this month's Vogue, Gisele Bündchen has just been laying on my desk getting dusty. I think that with today's beautiful Saturday weather, it's time to go cover to cover.

their covers totally break the mold and the spreads are always always always beyond original.
Taking risks is what (we) Russians do best...da da!

There is something so amazing about a great pair of shoes. Even on a bad hair day, or a "this mirror makes me look fat" day, a great pair of shoes never seem to disappoint.
A great pair of shoes can take any outfit from blahhh to bammm!

"tripping out, spinning around"

After a few consecutive nights at the college bar/frat scene, I decided to have a quiet night at the movies. I've been dying to see Alice in Wonderland (I pretty much knew the entire Disney film by heart at the age of 6) and seeing Johnny Depp as another trippy character never gets old. I was totally blown away by the costumes; not only were they imaginative and whimsical, but they were completely on trend...
